A new hotel will open in Offenburg, a city in southwestern Germany near the French border, on October 2. The hotel, named Hotel Liberty, is housed in a historic former prison, according to a Travel.ru correspondent.
The hotel will offer guests 38 rooms that are anything but dreary prison cells. Guests can enjoy the aptly named Wasser & Brot ("Bread and Water") restaurant, which serves exquisite French cuisine, the Mezzanine Floor & Lounge, which serves tapas, and the La Cave wine bar. The hotel also boasts a cozy library and a rooftop terrace.
Rates at the new hotel start at €138 per night for a double room. Hotel Liberty is offering discounts to celebrate its opening.
