The schedule for closure of the Gorki Gorod all-season ski resort's cable cars for maintenance has been announced. Phased preparation of the lifts for the ski season will begin on October 9 and continue until November 24, 2017.

Tengiz Lolua, Head of Department operation of sports facilities at the Gorki Gorod resort explained:
"The main goal of the resort's scheduled maintenance is to ensure the maximum safety of our long-awaited guests—professional and amateur riders—and all tourists who wish to visit the Gorki Gorod slopes during the 2017-2018 winter season. To ensure the uninterrupted operation of the cable cars throughout the ski season, the cable car stations, supports, cables, and cabins are being prepared. We are conducting a thorough cable inspection with the participation of top specialists. If necessary, balance beams, rollers, bearings, rubber wheels at the stations, and gearbox oil are replaced. All spare parts are supplied directly by the French manufacturer, POMA. The results of this work are monitored by Rostekhnadzor. Following the completion of the maintenance on November 24, 2017, all of the resort's cable cars will be fully operational for the start of the winter season."

All guests of the Gorki Gorod resort during this period are advised to plan their vacation taking into account the operation of the cable cars.
