Alexander Burdin has been appointed the new CEO of VIM-Avia, the airline's press service reported.

“Alexander Burdin joins VIM-AVIA as part of a strong team of management experts with significant and successful experience in crisis situations. Effective today, all divisions of VIM-AVIA Airlines have been strengthened by new, qualified management personnel.
"VIM-AVIA's new management team has already begun conducting a financial analysis, stabilizing the airline's operations, and developing a new, adaptive, and cost-effective development model for VIM-AVIA. A repayment schedule for existing fuel and airport service debt is being agreed upon. The company's new management is cooperating with Russian law enforcement agencies," the airline's press service noted.
Reference: Alexander Burdin headed Transaero Airlines for two years. Despite the airline's operations being suspended during bankruptcy proceedings, he managed to pay off 4.1 billion rubles in wage arrears to 10,000 former employees, complete an inventory of fixed assets, and consolidate the airline's assets to ensure creditor payments.
For two years, Mr. Burdin headed Unitile Group, Russia's largest holding company producing ceramic building materials (with a turnover of over $500 million and 3,000 employees). Under his leadership, the company reached a historic peak in financial turnover. For eleven years, Alexander Konstantinovich served as Deputy CEO and a member of the Management Board of Rusal (with revenues of $12.5 billion and 74,000 employees).
