Vim-Avia Airlines is ending its flight program.

Starting Wednesday, October 25, Vim-Avia's operator restrictions will take effect, resulting in the carrier suspending all flights, RIA Novosti reported.

On Tuesday, October 24, Vim-Avia Airlines will operate its last flight. The aircraft will remain in hangars at Moscow's airports for now. Lessors who decide to remove their aircraft will be able to do so without any obstacles.

Since Vim-Avia's air operator certificate was not revoked, but merely limited, this opens the door to reviving the company and applying for a license renewal. Whether this will be accomplished, and who will undertake the rescue, remains unclear.

It should be added that recently, media reports have surfaced indicating that several investors have expressed interest in purchasing the bankrupt airline. For example, businessman Boris Karlov's interest has been confirmed. However, the authorities stated that they had not received any applications or business plans from the businessman.

Currently, the owners and top managers of Vim-Avia are involved in two criminal cases opened by the Russian Investigative Committee following the escalation of the passenger transportation situation.
