Russian Railways has introduced fixed ticket prices for Sapsan trains on the Moscow-St. Petersburg line for December 31 and January 1. They are quite affordable, reports Travel.ru.
All regular economy class tickets are sold for 1,506 rubles, economy+ for 1,847 rubles, bistro car for 3,506 rubles, business class for 3,981 rubles, and first class for 9,861 rubles. Tickets are currently available for all trains.
It's worth noting that the last 9:00 PM departures on December 31st have been cancelled in both directions. They are scheduled to arrive after midnight, and Russian Railways is clearly not anticipating the influx of people hoping to celebrate the New Year on the Sapsan. However, previous services remain on schedule, and if desired, you can arrive in Moscow at 11:13 PM on New Year's Eve, and in St. Petersburg at 11:44 PM. The schedule for January 1st remains as usual, with departures starting at 5:30 AM.
