
On Wednesday, December 6, a plane from Finland carrying Santa Claus, the main character of Christmas and New Year, landed at Pulkovo Airport. The airport's press service reported this.
As reported to TURIZM, every year in December Santa goes on a Christmas trip tour. On Wednesday, he arrived in the northern capital aboard Finnair. Passengers from Pulkovo Airport bound for Helsinki received boarding passes from him, along with numerous souvenirs. The chief fairytale wizard from Lapland will spend two days in St. Petersburg. He will explore the city's sights and also greet the children of a special internet school for hearing-impaired children in the village of Jukki. On Friday, December 8, Santa Claus will depart for Moscow for a three-day visit.
As a reminder, Santa's Russian counterpart, Ded Moroz, is currently touring Russia. He's visiting Samara on December 6th and 7th. He'll spend the next two days in Saratov, followed by Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Tula, and Kaliningrad. Santa Claus is expected in St. Petersburg on December 23rd, and in Moscow on December 29th.
