The slopes of the Dombay ski resort in Karachay-Cherkessia, on the slopes of Mount Musa-Achitara, are open for skiing. The official season opening hasn't happened yet, but the first skiers have already tested the quality of the slopes.
According to TASS, renovations and expansion of existing trails have been carried out in Dombai. Specifically, the trail under the Yugoslav cable car, located slightly away from the main ski slopes, has been completely renovated. This trail is now connected to the others in a single system. It can be accessed from the second lift stage, which includes a gondola lift, as well as six- and four-seat chairlifts.
Dombay can accommodate up to 5,000 tourists at a time. There are 250 ski instructors on staff. It's worth noting that almost 1,001 rooms in Dombay are booked for the New Year holidays.
