Tips for tourists

Damaraland. Africa. Namibia

This is a desert and wild region of Namibia, where plains and grasslands alternate with mountain ranges and gorges. This region is home to Namibia's highest mountain.

In Damaraland, at the foot of a mountain range, rock paintings left by the Bushmen, who lived here in prehistoric times, have been preserved on sun-baked red rocks. These are mostly depictions of animals: elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and a few others encountered by ancient people. They were carved into slabs with sharp stones and are well preserved. Some are approximately five thousand years old.

In Damaraland, you can stay overnight in campsites or lodges, where we held photography workshops every evening.
