Developer of the Electronic Travel Package Files for Bankruptcy

Asteros JSC, which was involved in several key projects in Russian tourism, has filed for bankruptcy. This was reported on the website of the Russian Agency for Legal and Judicial Information.

According to the publication, Asteros' statement has not yet been released accepted for proceedings. At the same time, several lawsuits filed by various organizations against Asteros are pending in arbitration courts. Specifically, in March, Russian People's Bank filed lawsuits against the company seeking to recover 189.4 million rubles and 63.3 million rubles in debt.

Asteros developed the security concept for the Luzhniki Sports Complex, including the implementation of a "clean" zone within the facility's security perimeter. The company is also the primary contractor for the "Electronic Ticket" project.

The "Electronic Travel Voucher" system was supposed to be launched as a unified information system on January 1, 2018. Work on its development began in December 2014 at the government's request. In 2016, the developer announced the completion of the central phase of the project. However, the "Electronic Travel Voucher" system never launched within the agreed-upon timeframe. According to Rostourism, the cost of creating the "Electronic Travel Voucher" information system was approximately 500 million rubles.
