On October 21st, Barcelona experienced an abnormally hot day for that period, reaching 34 degrees Celsius. It was the warmest day of October 2014!

The whole family wanted to spend a few hours on the beach and swim in the sea, so we went to Barceloneta beach.
On the embankment stands a giant smiling shrimp "La Gamba".

In the late 1980s, the Gambrinus restaurant was located here, and the Shrimp on its roof attracted customers. In 1994, the restaurant closed, and the Shrimp was dismantled. But ten years later, it returned to its former location, the roof of its former home, and quickly became one of the city's most popular landmarks.
There's underground parking next to the beach. The promenade is beautiful, with tall palm trees that form a corridor for a bike path.

Barceloneta is a free city beach, the most famous and oldest beach in Barcelona. It stretches 1,100 meters and has been awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness.

The water in the sea is clean, transparent, the temperature is +22.2!
