
The FIFA World Football Museum collection, located in Zurich, has opened free to the public on Novy Arbat Street in Moscow. A giant World Cup scoreboard with the tournament standings is displayed on the façade of the building housing the exhibition.
According to Interfax, visitors to the exhibition will learn about the history of the tournament, how fans of their teams are traditionally held around the world, and see clips from the best matches in football history, as well as personal items belonging to famous footballers such as Pelé, Maradona, and Lev Yashin. A collection of official World Cup balls is also on display.
The main exhibits are the World Cup Winners' Trophy, which will be on display only today, June 9, and the Jules Rimet Cup (the "Golden Goddess"), which will remain in the Russian capital until the exhibition closes. The exhibition is open daily until July 20, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Admission is free.
