Tunisia reintroduced the tourist tax.

Tourists in Tunisia will be required to pay a tourist tax of three dinars per day per night for stays in hotels rated 4* or higher. Children under 12 are exempt from the tax, according to Tourprom.

At the same time, Tunisia expects to earn about 51 million dinars from the collection this year. In cheaper hotels, the fee will also be charged, but the amount will be smaller—two dinars.

The fee will be collected at hotels upon check-in. Tourists staying at the hotel for more than seven days will not be charged the fee. Tour operators note that the fee will not impact Russian tourist flow to the country, as it is insignificant compared to the price of the tour package.

It's worth noting that Tunisia previously had a tourist tax—tourists were required to pay 15 euros upon entering the country. However, this tax was abolished following a significant drop in tourist arrivals following the terrorist attack in Sousse.
