International hotel operator AccorHotels has opened its first luxury Fairmont resort hotel in the Maldives. It is located on the Shaviyani Atoll, 270 kilometers north of the Maldives' capital, Male.
Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi offers guests 112 luxurious villas, the AccorHotels press service reports. Among them are villas on the beach or over the water, as well as secluded safari-style tented villas located in the dense thickets of the island jungle. Many villas have their own infinity pools.
Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi is the only resort in the entire Shaviyani Atoll. All of its islands are located at a considerable distance from each other, allowing guests to relax in peace and privacy. The remote location of the atoll contributes to the flourishing of marine life - manta rays, turtles and large schools of dolphins often swim in the waters of the lagoon.
The resort offers six contemporary restaurants and bars, including the international all-day dining restaurant Raha Market, Japanese cuisine with a Maldivian twist at Kata Restaurant and Lounge, and fresh seafood at the overwater Azure Restaurant. Raha Market Bar serves up great aperitifs, the bamboo bar Onu Onu offers poolside loungers, and the Kata Roof Top Lounge offers sunset views. The resort also features the 2,000-square-metre Willow Stream Spa.
Guests at Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi can cook with a chef, go on an island hopping trip, enjoy a traditional dhoni fishing trip, have a picnic on the beach or sail on a luxury yacht. In addition, local artists at the Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi’s own art studio conduct painting workshops, coconut painting for children and adults, and teach how to make dreamcatchers and local jewelry.
Guests can enjoy a special offer starting from $770 per villa per night with breakfast excluding taxes. The offer is valid for bookings until September 30, 2018.
