Tourist information center opens in Tula

The first tourist information center has opened in downtown Tula. At the pavilion on Vosstaniya Square, visitors to the Tula region can obtain comprehensive information about the region's attractions, tourist routes, hotels, transportation, and upcoming events.

Tourists can also purchase a Tula Region Guest Card at the information center, which offers savings on museum admission and discounts at restaurants and hotels. The information center also features a souvenir shop offering local handicrafts and famous Tula gingerbread.

According to Interfax, the Tula Region has 226 tourist routes within the region and 114 interregional tourist routes. In 2017, over 650,000 people visited the Tula Region for tourism, an increase of 121,000 compared to the previous year. Another more than three million people visited the region on day trips for various purposes, including sightseeing.
