ATOR advises clients of the defunct tour operator Danko to seek assistance from the Tourpomoshch Association and not pay for hotel accommodations and transfers again.
At the end of last week, tour operator Danko announced the termination of its activities. In Italy and Turkey, representatives of host companies are asking tourists to repay for accommodation and transfers. However, the Russian Union of Travel Industry notes that hotels and host companies have no right to demand payment from guests, as they have no contractual relationship with tourists.
Lawyers advise affected Danko clients to file a complaint with the Tourpomoshch association of tour operators. To do so, please provide your full name, address, the contract number for the sale of the tourist product, the name of the tour operator, contact information, and the circumstances indicating the tour operator's failure to fulfill its obligations. Tourpomoshch must make a decision on whether to provide emergency assistance to tourists within 24 hours.
We would like to add that tour operator Danko has cancelled all tours starting after September 8. Tourists who have been deprived of their vacations will be able to receive a refund from ERV Travel Insurance.
