Swiss hotels are offering guests a free "Instagram sitter" service. Famous bloggers will post photos and respond to comments on the popular social network for guests while they take a break from their devices, according to the Daily Mail.
The Ibis hotel chain in Switzerland has launched a unique, complimentary service called "Relax We Post." Guests can book an "Instagram sitter" to update their account while they take a break from all electronic devices. The service is available at 17 hotels in Zurich and Geneva. According to the creators, it will help guests relieve the stress that comes with being heavily involved in social media. The hotel chain has already secured the support of 10 well-known bloggers who will act as sitters. The "Relax We Post" service is unique and has no equivalent in other hotels or countries.
In 2018, the Conrad Hilton resort in the Maldives introduced Instagram butlers. Their responsibilities included introducing hotel guests to the best photo spots and guiding them along the Instagram Trails, which included prime selfie spots.
One hotel in Bali recently launched a special campaign called "In the Moment." The campaign prohibits the use of all electronic devices, including smartphones, tablets, and cameras, while relaxing by the hotel's large pool. According to hotel representatives, the initiative aims to create a sanctuary of tranquility. Guests can truly relax by the pool, rather than spend time staring at their smartphones.
