Rosa Khutor and Gazprom ski resorts have introduced a single ski pass.

Rosa Khutor resorts and Mountain tourism Gazprom Center signed an agreement on the introduction of a single ski passNow skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the slopes of two mountain resorts in Sochi with just one fixed-price ticket.

"The landmark decision to create a unified ski pass for Sochi's mountain resorts was made during a meeting on January 5, 2017, by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Dmitry Medvedev instructed the resorts' management to develop and implement a mechanism for introducing a single electronic device for access to Sochi's ski areas," the Rosa Khutor resort's press service recalled.

They also noted that each resort's infrastructure and slopes have their own unique characteristics and advantages. While previously tourists had to prioritize the slopes of a specific resort within a single day or repurchase a ski pass when transferring to another resort, starting this year, everything has been significantly simplified.

By purchasing a single ski pass, skiers and snowboarders gain access to the slopes of two resorts: Gazprom Ski Resort (Alpika and Laura slopes) and Rosa Khutor. This also gives tourists access to the infrastructure of both resorts, including equipment rentals, instructor training, restaurants, cafes, and additional leisure services.

A single ski pass will provide access to 135 km of slopes. Guests will be offered several rates, depending on the length of use: a one-time pass (valid for one day), a season pass (valid from the opening until the end of the ski season at one of the resorts), and a multi-day pass (valid for two to seven days). The single ski pass will be available for purchase at the Gazprom and Rosa Khutor ski resort ticket offices.

Resorts had long discussed the introduction of a unified ski pass, but implementing the idea required resolving a number of serious issues. First and foremost, the technical implementation of the project took considerable time.

"In the future, a single ski pass will be valid at all Sochi mountain resorts (Gazprom, Rosa Khutor, and Gorki Gorod). A unified ski area is planned to be created through the construction of additional cable cars that will connect the slopes of all resorts on the Aibga Ridge. Tourists can reach the Psekhako Plateau, where the Laura slopes of the Gazprom Mountain Tourist Center are located, via the 3S cable car, which departs from the Alpika lower station," the resort's press service added.
