From April 27 to May 4, Russian tourism companies will gather their crews in the Gulf of Göcek (Fethiye) in Turkey to compete fairly for victory in the sailing races and become the winner of the 2019 Travel Business Cup.
What awaits the regatta participants:
- 5 days of sailing races according to the 2017–2020 International Racing Rules and the racing score (handicap)
- 10–15 yachts
- 2 nights in the best hotels on the coast
- A hurricane of emotions and impressions
- The drive, excitement, and romance of a sailing regatta
- Themed parties. A rich entertainment program.
A regatta is, first and foremost, a sailing race. It's about adrenaline, wind, sea, the precise and coordinated work of the entire crew, and the will to win. It's a breathtaking sporting event, offering unique emotions and lasting impressions.
We invite professionals and leaders of the tourism industry to participate.
- Gather your company's crew or go solo as assigned to one of the regatta's yachts
- Make a statement about yourself and your brand. Brand your yacht with your company logo and slogan.
- Spend time with old friends and make new ones
"We're planning at least four days of racing, plus a pre-race training day. We're focusing on the sporting aspect. The venue was chosen deliberately. Predictable winds, the ability to set interesting courses, offshore and cross-country races, the enclosed waters of Göcek Bay, and numerous beautiful bays with convenient moorings and restaurants for parties and other events perfectly suit our needs," the organizers emphasize.
Racing procedure:
- Races will be held using a racing score (handicap). If a boat hasn't had recent measurements or if they are old, we'll take scores from the lists of similar boats participating in the MIRW or GOCEK CUP.
- We plan races by distance and route, setting the distance according to the actual weather forecast
- The races are held in accordance with the 2017–2020 International Road Racing Rules.
- A referee boat is provided
- Using spinnakers and gennakers
- The judge sets the distance and time of the races according to the weather.
