The Russian Consulate General in Hurghada has urged Russian tourists to refrain from traveling to the Aladdin Beach Resort 4* hotel following a case of poisoning among Russian travelers, which resulted in the death of a child.

"Dear citizens! General "The consulate recommends avoiding stays at the Aladdin Beach Resort (Hurghada) due to recent cases of acute poisoning of Russian citizens and the death of a child there. The case is currently being reviewed by the Red Sea Governorate Prosecutor's Office," the agency said in a statement on its official Facebook page.
It's worth noting that a similar tragic incident occurred at the same hotel in 2015: at 4:00 AM on July 14, 2015, a woman and her children began feeling unwell, accompanied by severe vomiting. Expecting to cope on her own, the tourist began taking medication herself and administering it to the children. Around 10:00 AM, the woman contacted the hotel receptionist requesting professional emergency medical assistance. However, she was unable to present her insurance because, in a highly imprudent move, upon arrival at her vacation home, she had entrusted all her documents to the safekeeping of a family friend who was on a day trip at the time.
Despite the Russian woman's assurances that she would present the necessary documents upon her friends' return, the hotel employee stopped communicating with her, effectively refusing to provide the requested service.
That same afternoon, a three-year-old girl lost consciousness. In response to the woman's cries for help, fellow Russians at the hotel demanded a doctor be called. Upon arrival, a doctor confirmed the child's death, the Russian Investigative Committee reported at the time.
