Sheremetyevo Airport is currently experiencing delays in baggage claim for passengers on a number of flights and baggage handling for transfer passengers. The airport's press service reported this to TRN.

The airport administration has also adopted comprehensive solutions to support and assist passengers:

  • To interact with passengers and ensure their uninterrupted information, additional dispatchers and supervisors have been assigned to baggage claim areas;
  • A decision was made to distribute water and sandwiches free of charge to passengers in baggage claim areas if the waiting time for arriving baggage exceeds 25 minutes from the moment the aircraft is parked;
  • If the waiting time for baggage exceeds 30 minutes, passengers who cannot wait any longer have the opportunity to submit a request at the counter in the baggage claim area for free delivery to the specified address.

In difficult situations, supervisors in baggage claim areas will assist passengers in completing forms.

According to preliminary forecasts, the baggage claim situation will stabilize by the end of the current month.
