Analysts at the online booking service Ostrovok.ru analyzed which cities Russian tourists can book an affordable three-star hotel for two in August. As the company's press service told TRN, the selection included resort destinations. European capitals and large Russian cities.

Up to 2,000 rubles per day
The most affordable three-star hotels in August were found in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan (formerly Astana), with the average price for a double room without breakfast being 1,600 rubles per night. A wide selection of affordable hotels is available in Krasnodar, averaging 1,600 rubles per night. A hotel in Nalchik, Khabarovsk, or Taganrog will cost tourists around 1,900 rubles per night. For 1,800 rubles, travelers can find accommodation in Phuket, Thailand—despite the rainy season, summer vacations there are in high demand among Russian tourists.
Up to 3,000 rubles per day
For a small additional fee, tourists can relax on the Aegean coast in Izmir, Turkey (2,300 rubles per night for a double room). Hotels for under 3,000 rubles are also available in Asia—the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur offers travelers a wide selection of affordable three-star hotels averaging 2,600 rubles per night for two. For a similar price, you can book a stay in Antalya, Turkey, and enjoy a beach holiday. Accommodation in Alanya is slightly more expensive, with the average three-star hotel rate there averaging 2,800 rubles. For tourists planning a trip to Europe, affordable hotels are available in Lodz, Poland—averaging 2,800 rubles per night for two.
For those planning a trip around Russia, hotels in this price range are available in Yaroslavl (on average 2,500 rubles per night) and Samara (2,600 rubles).

Tourists can find hotels in the 3,000-4,000 ruble range for both domestic and international destinations. A night in a three-star hotel in Kazan will cost 3,100 rubles for a double room, 3,300 rubles in Nizhny Novgorod, 3,500 rubles in Novorossiysk, and a hotel in Moscow or Sochi in August will cost 3,800 rubles.
