Memmingen Airport in Germany temporarily suspends operations

Memmingen International Airport in Germany has temporarily suspended operations from September 17 to 30 due to runway repairs, the airport's press service reported.

 

 

"Memmingen International Airport (FMM) is temporarily "The airport will suspend operations from September 17 to 30 due to the start of runway repairs. The runway will be widened to 45 meters in accordance with international and European standards," the statement reads.

Furthermore, as noted by the airport's press service, full renovation work is planned to be completed in 2021.

The airport also reported that Ryanair has cancelled all flights to and from Memmingen from September 17 to 30, Wizz Air has rerouted flights to other airports, and the Russian airline Pobeda, which flies to the airport, has temporarily suspended ticket sales to the city.
