Intourist Launches New Year Charter Rail Tours to the Baltics

During the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays, Russian tourists will be able to travel to the Baltics on charter train tours.

 

 

As the tour operator's press service told the TRN portal, for the New Year and Christmas holidays Intourist is launching sightseeing tours to Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Tourists can travel to the Baltics by train from Moscow and St. Petersburg, or by bus from St. Petersburg. Air tours are also available for other Russian cities.

The company also emphasized that the New Year and Christmas holidays are considered the most important period for organized tourist arrivals in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. During the New Year holidays, up to 501,000 group trips are organized to Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, and other cities in the Baltic states.

During the New Year's season, Intourist has prepared dozens of educational excursion programs and spa tours across the Baltic countries. During popular New Year's holiday dates, Intourist offers extensive rail travel packages on the Moscow-Tallinn, Moscow-Riga, St. Petersburg-Tallinn, and St. Petersburg-Riga routes. New this peak season are rail tours from St. Petersburg to Riga, with prices starting at €229 per person.

The Intourist tour operator system offers tours to Estonia with arrival in Tallinn for the New Year period with various durations and departure times from 31.12.2019 to 03.01.2020, 31.12.2019 to 04.01.2020, 31.12.2019 to 05.01.2020, 02.01.2020 to 07.01.2020, 03.01.2020 to 07.01.2020 and 04.01.2020 to 08.01.2020. You can choose to travel by train from Moscow to Tallinn, departing the evening before the tour and returning to Moscow the next morning after the tour ends. You can also book a daytime train from St. Petersburg to Tallinn, departing early in the morning and arriving in the afternoon right before your hotel check-in, returning to St. Petersburg late in the evening on the final day of the tour. From Moscow to Tallinn, travel is in compartment cars, but for travel from January 3, 2020, to January 7, 2020, a budget compartment car is also available. In addition to accommodation during the New Year holidays, you can book a gala dinner at restaurants in Tallinn and Riga.
