FlyArystan will fly from Astana (Nur-Sultan) to Moscow.

Kazakhstan's low-cost airline FlyArystan plans to launch flights from Astana (Nur-Sultan) to Moscow this winter. Flights will operate daily starting December 13, according to Travel.ru.

Departure from Astana (Nur-Sultan) at 22.10, arrival in Moscow (Zhukovsky airport) at 22.40. The return flight departs at 11:25 p.m., arriving in Astana at 5:35 a.m. The route will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft with a single-class configuration and 180 seats.

The minimum price, including only 5 kilograms of carry-on baggage, is currently 3,432 rubles one-way and 6,826 rubles round-trip. Adding seat selection and an additional 5 kilograms of carry-on baggage yields fares of 4,616 and 9,194 rubles, respectively. A package with 20 kilograms of checked baggage, 5 kilograms of carry-on baggage, and seat selection costs 5,060 and 10,082 rubles. Finally, a full package with 20 kilograms of checked baggage, 10 kilograms of carry-on baggage, priority seat selection, priority boarding, and a one-time free rebooking option costs 6,063 rubles one-way and 12,089 rubles round-trip. All these fares are available on most flights next year. December's minimum prices are slightly higher.

You can add various options to the minimum fare independently, outside of the offered packages. For example, adding 15 kilograms of checked baggage one-way costs 1,152 rubles, 20 kilograms costs 1,316 rubles, 25 kilograms costs 1,481 rubles, 30 kilograms costs 1,645 rubles, and so on up to 60 kilograms (2,632 rubles). Increasing your carry-on baggage allowance from 5 to 10 kilograms costs 823 rubles (the dimensions of your carry-on baggage must not exceed 56 x 45 x 20 centimeters). Seat selection prices start at 493 rubles (this is the price for 80% seats in the cabin).

Meal prices are quite reasonable. For example, a sandwich with a drink costs 198 rubles, a salad with a drink costs 231 rubles, and beer with croutons costs 99 rubles. Overall, the new Kazakh airline's fare system is remarkably flexible and reasonable, and compares favorably with those offered by most Russian carriers.

Technically, any FlyArystan ticket can be returned, but passengers receive only a voucher for future flights with the airline, not cash. A 20,000 tenge (approximately 3,100 rubles) refund fee is deducted from the voucher's value, meaning passengers flying at the lowest fares may receive virtually nothing. Ticket exchanges are possible with a 14,000 tenge (approximately 2,300 rubles) fee.
