Nordwind Airlines and Aeroflot to launch new Moscow-Hannover flights

Nordwind Airlines plans to launch daily flights from Moscow to Hanover in May, starting this summer. Aeroflot will also increase the number of flights on the same route from one to two per day, according to a Travel.ru correspondent.

Nordwind Airlines' service will launch on May 16th and will initially operate three times a week. However, by early June, the frequency will increase to six flights, and by the end of June, flights will be daily. Departure from Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport) will be at 9:30 or 14:55 on various days, arriving in Hanover at 11:30 or 16:55. Return departures will be at 13:15 or 18:10, arriving in Moscow at 17:05 or 22:00. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be used on this route. The company previously launched flights from Moscow to Düsseldorf, but was unable to maintain this route.

The minimum one-way ticket price is 6,781 rubles (including only an 8-kilogram carry-on bag, a briefcase, a handbag, or a small backpack). A 15-kilogram checked baggage allowance with the option to exchange the ticket for an additional fee (plus the carry-on baggage allowance) costs 8,016 rubles, while a 20-kilogram checked baggage allowance, seat selection, and refund option costs 9,316 rubles. Round-trip fares are 11,713, 13,628, and 15,683 rubles, respectively.

Aeroflot will add a second daily flight to Hanover starting June 1st. It will be an overnight service operated by a Superjet 100 (the daytime service will be operated by an Airbus A320, replacing the larger Airbus A321 currently in use). Starting March 29th, flights from Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport) will depart at 10:45 and 21:05, arriving in Hanover at 12:50 and 23:10, respectively. Return flights will depart at 0:40 and 13:50, arriving in Moscow at 4:40 and 17:45.

Only one Airbus A321 flight has been announced for next winter, but this may not be a schedule adjustment yet. Aeroflot's minimum one-way fare is currently 11,582 rubles without baggage and 14,937 rubles with baggage, while round-trip fares are 18,020 rubles and 22,815 rubles, respectively.
