Princess Cruises announced a 60-day suspension of operations. According to CEO Jan Schwartz, guests are expected to return to their ships on May 11.
“I regret to inform you that Princess will be experiencing a 60-day suspension "This is one of the most difficult decisions in the company's history, as we recognize how many people it will affect," the company's CEO said in a statement on Twitter.
As a reminder, coronavirus outbreaks were previously recorded on two cruise ships, the Diamond Princess and Grand Princess, forcing all passengers to be quarantined.
