Alrosa Airlines' press service announced that it has no plans to operate flights from Russia to China. The press service also noted that the carrier is currently evacuating tourists from Hainan Island who hold Alrosa tickets. Alrosa, TASS reports.

As a reminder, the press service of the tour operator "Pearl River" previously informed the portal Travel Russin News that they will continue to send tourists to the Chinese island of Hainan, and the flight schedule will be operated by Alrosa Airlines. The tour operator also advised tourists who have already purchased tickets to China to cancel their tickets if they do not wish to fly to the island on Alrosa Airlines flights.
"Alrosa Airlines is not carrying passengers to China (Hainan Island) due to the lack of appropriate permission from Chinese aviation authorities. The decision to suspend flights was made previously in consultation with the tour operator Zhemchuzhnaya Reka. Currently, the airline is only evacuating tourists holding Alrosa Airlines tickets from Hainan Island back to Russia. The last group of tourists was evacuated on December 12," Alrosa Airlines reported.
The airline also noted that they will be able to resume flights to Hainan Island only after receiving the appropriate permission from Chinese aviation authorities.
"We expect this to be received by the end of December this year. Alrosa Airlines will announce the resumption date of its flight program to Hainan Island later. We also inform you that the airline currently has no contractual obligations to carry passengers from other airlines," the airline's press service noted.
