Euro-denominated airfares for international flights from Russia will be reduced on February 21. The euro exchange rate for international airfare sales is set weekly on Wednesdays. Ruble prices are calculated using the Central Bank of Russia's euro exchange rate for Tuesday, rounded up to the nearest 50 kopecks. The Central Bank's exchange rate for Tuesday, February 20, is set at 69.90 rubles per euro, and a rate of 70 rubles per euro will be applied to airfare sales in the coming week, according to a Travel.ru correspondent.
The reduction will be 1.5 rubles per euro (last week, the exchange rate was 71.5 rubles per euro). Therefore, passengers who have decided on their international travel plans from Russia and are not worried about tickets at their desired fare being sold out can wait until Wednesday to purchase them and get them for 2% less.
