Free rental of essential items for tourists has appeared in Seoul.

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Information and Service Center in central Seoul will offer a new service starting February 1: free rental of essential travel items for visitors to the country. Here, tourists can rent camera tripods, chargers, adapters, selfie sticks, umbrellas, chairs, picnic mats, and many other items. Rentals are free, but upon pickup, you must inform the staff member of the number of days you plan to stay in Korea and pay a refundable deposit.

A key rental requirement is same-day return of the item. However, adapters, chargers, and umbrellas can be used throughout the trip and returned before departure, according to NOTK. If the item is not returned on time, the deposit will be donated to charity.

The NOTK Visitor Center is conveniently located on the second floor of the K-Style Hub shopping mall, close to the city's main attractions—the Cheonggyecheon Stream, the Myeongdong and Insadong districts, and more. Visitors can also take advantage of the center's other services, including trying on a traditional Korean dress, the hanbok, for free or participating in workshops on traditional Korean handicrafts. The NOTK Visitor Center is open daily, seven days a week, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
