Cruise company Mosturflot will launch its first package tour of Lake Baikal.

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia announces that the cruise company Mosturflot has offered its first cruise on Lake Baikal. Currently, the cruise does not include transfers or flight assistance from Moscow. Mosturflot plans to add these features in the summer of 2019. changes to the cruise and fill a missing gap for travelers.

Lake Baikal cruises are known to be popular and sell well, but transfers and assistance are not included in the tour, making it difficult for tourists to arrive at the embarkation point and requiring them to make their own arrangements.

Mosturflot Cruise Line will be the first in the Moscow market to offer a Lake Baikal cruise with transfers from the airport to the pier and back, as well as flight assistance.

"Our tourists are accustomed to comfort and a full service package. They know they're always accompanied by a company representative on cruises, so in this case, they'll fly with them, not just meet them at the airport," noted Svetlana Goncharova, Deputy Director General for Tourism.

ATOR has learned when Mosturflot is preparing to launch its first cruise on Lake Baikal. The proposal and program have not yet been finalized, but the first seven-day cruise is planned for June 14, 2019, on the ship "Alexander the Great," which offers everything tourists need: comfort, meals, a bar, entertainment programs, and more. Tourists will be transported to Listvyanka by bus from Irkutsk Airport.

Unfortunately, the price of the cruise itself is still unknown, but it will include transfers, accommodations, meals, an excursion, and a picnic on Olkhon Island. The cruise is available to both Russian and international tourists.

"This is our first trial run in this direction, so for now we've only planned one cruise in 2019. However, if demand is high and the ship fills up quickly, a second cruise will be scheduled," said Svetlana Goncharova.
