Cold weather and snowfall have caused transport disruptions across Europe. Problems have affected almost the entire continent, reports Travel.ru.
Sub-zero temperatures are observed even in southern countries, including Italy and Spain. In northern countries and in mountainous areas, frosts can sometimes reach minus 20-25 degrees.
Several European airlines have announced some reductions in their flight schedules for the coming days. Passengers should regularly check their flight status in the days leading up to departure.
Disruptions are also being reported in ground transportation. In a number of countries, train and bus services have been reduced, and in some cases, public transportation has been reduced as well. The problems are most severe in countries unaccustomed to severe frosts and lacking sufficient snow removal equipment. These disruptions are likely to continue for several more days.
