Skiing on the Alpika slope will be open until May 6.

For the first time, the Gazprom resort is closing its ski season in May. The Alpika slope, which will reopen its slopes from April 29 to May 6, helped set a personal best.

“The weather in the Sochi mountains has allowed us to extend the ski season, so the upcoming "Tourists will be able to ski this weekend," the resort's press service commented. "Spring in the mountains is especially pleasant not only for skiing but also for sunbathing, so we recommend remembering to bring sunscreen."

The Gazprom Mountain Tourism Center opened the Alpika slope in December 2017 following a comprehensive renovation of the legendary resort. During the ski season, five trails were available for experienced riders: three red and two black runs, totaling over 7.5 km in length, with an elevation gain of up to 1,156 meters.

The Alpika slopes are open from April 29 to May 6. The slope will be open for tours until May 9 (inclusive). Viewing platforms are located at altitudes of 1,500 and 2,256 meters. On a clear day, you can even see the Black Sea from the Priyut Vetrov (Shelter of the Winds).

From May 10 to June 9, the Alpika slope's cable cars will undergo maintenance. You can purchase a ski pass to enjoy panoramic views of the Caucasus Mountains and Krasnaya Polyana before May 9 or after June 10.
