Passenger traffic from Domodedovo to Turkey increased by 19%

Moscow's Domodedovo Airport has summarized the summer passenger traffic to non-CIS destinations. Türkiye led the way, with over 820,000 passengers choosing the country for their summer vacation.

The Turkish direction is developing most dynamically - the increase amounted to 133 thousand people, an increase of 191,000 passengers compared to last year. Antalya is the most popular destination for travelers departing from Domodedovo, with traffic on this route increasing to 539,000 passengers. Alanya, Bodrum, and Istanbul follow.

Passenger traffic to Tunisia is growing dynamically. This summer, it increased by 681,000 passengers compared to last year, reaching 144,000. Domodedovo's partner airlines expanded their flight schedules and launched new charter flights to Enfidha. As a result, this route has become the most popular in the country, with over 100,000 travelers choosing it, double the number from last year.

Among European destinations, German cities lead the way in passenger traffic growth. In the summer of 2018, air traffic increased by 101,000 passengers to 326,000. Of these, over 150,000 passengers chose Frankfurt Airport, an increase of 231,000 passengers compared to the previous year. This growth was primarily due to the 2018 World Cup, when the number of travelers on this route increased by 411,000 passengers.

Passenger traffic to Italy increased by 131,000 passengers to 219,000, thanks in part to the launch of new routes to Rome, Bologna, and Bari. S7 Airlines launched flights to Rome (since December 15, 2017) and Bari (since June 24, 2018), and Ural Airlines launched flights to Bologna (since April 7, 2018).

Domodedovo's partner airlines operate flights to 95 destinations in non-CIS countries.
