Royal Flight has cancelled meals on flights lasting up to five hours.

Russian airlines continue to eliminate meals on flights of up to five hours. Following AZUR Air, Royal Flight announced its changes. The announcement was published on the airline's website.

“Dear passengers, Royal Flight airline is changing Meal plans in Economy Class on short-haul flights. Starting July 1, 2019, Economy Class passengers on flights up to five hours will be offered only soft drinks; in-flight meals will not be provided," the carrier's press service reported.

They also emphasized that these changes are due to the current trend in the aviation industry aimed at curbing the growth of air travel costs.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that, effective June 1, AZUR Air canceled meal service on flights shorter than five hours. As the carrier's press service explained to TRN, passengers will be offered hot drinks and water on these flights. However, business class passengers on flights shorter than five hours will continue to receive full meal service.
