A Nordwind Airlines flight en route from Moscow to Phuket made an emergency landing at Tashkent Airport due to an intoxicated passenger, according to the Moscow Interregional Transport Investigative Department (MITID) of the Russian Investigative Committee.
According to the department, The incident occurred the day before: a passenger on a plane flying from Moscow to Phuket, while intoxicated, attempted to open the plane's door and insulted the flight attendants.
After the rowdy pilot received several warnings from the crew, to which he did not respond, the aircraft commander decided to land the plane.
"A preliminary investigation has been launched into a citizen's violation of public order on board an aircraft flying from Moscow to Phuket," the agency stated.
