“On May 17, 2018, Saratov Airlines received a letter from A. A. Kruglov, Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency’s Transportation Regulation Department, regarding the suspension of sales. airline tickets from May 30 of this year. The airline considers this document to be the introduction of restrictions on the air operator certificate from May 31.
In connection with this, the management of JSC Saratov Airlines has decided to suspend the company's operations from May 31, 2018, and to lay off its employees from July 18, 2018," the carrier's website stated.
A total of 1,200 airline employees will be laid off.
