The SkyTeam alliance has opened its business lounge at Istanbul's new airport. It serves elite passengers of Aeroflot, Air France, KLM, Tarom, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, and Saudia, according to a release from the alliance.
The lounge is located approximately 200 meters to the left after entering the airport's clean zone, next to the airport's IGA Lounge (which recently began accepting Priority Pass and Lounge Key customers). The SkyTeam lounge is several times smaller—582 square meters and 145 seats.
The lounge's menu focuses on Turkish cuisine, with some European influences. SkyTeam currently operates seven lounges under the alliance brand: London, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Beijing, Sydney, Dubai, and Vancouver. A lounge in Santiago is expected to open in a few months.
