Tourists have named the best way to combat aerophobia

Flying is a difficult ordeal for those who suffer from aerophobia. The travel service Tutu.ru asked tourists how they overcome their fear of flying. More than 4,000 respondents participated in the survey.

 

 

As the company told the TRN portal, those who are not afraid Just over half—56%—recognized the fear of flying. And every second person is aerophobic, either in the past or present. And the most popular way to cope with fear turned out to be prayer. 11% of respondents do so.

Alcohol proved more popular as a sedative than sedatives in tablets or drops. 3% of respondents admitted to previously suffering from aerophobia and have now overcome their fear. 4% passengers also overcome their fear of flying using certain techniques (meditation, special breathing techniques, etc.).

Last year, Tutu.ru experts asked tourists about their biggest fear before vacation. The most popular fear was aerophobia. 23% of respondents admitted that their biggest fear was flying or getting into an accident en route to their vacation destination. 18% said they were afraid of running out of money they brought with them on their trip. The same percentage feared getting seriously ill or injured on vacation. Leaving an iron on at home or leaving travel documents (tickets, passports) frightened 14% tourists. 10% worry before traveling that the country, city, or hotel will not live up to their expectations. 7% worry about having money or valuables stolen during the trip. 6% respondents' main fear was getting a broken suitcase at the airport or not receiving it at all. The least worrying factor (4% respondents) is a possible encounter with local scammers in the country where they are planning their vacation.
