Tour operator Intourist announced the conclusion of a strategic partnership agreement with the company Vienna Ball in the area of promotion and servicing of guests and participants of Vienna Balls in different countries of the world.
"The Vienna Ball is a unique event, held in Vienna at any time of the year, timed to coincide with special events and holidays. Viennese balls have always been a standard of ball culture and have been included by UNESCO in the list of intangible cultural heritage. The custom of holding them goes back to the times of European carnival seasons, which flourished in the first half of the 19th century. Having originated as a phenomenon that embraced representatives of various classes, having gone through the evolution of the court and then the opera, the Viennese Ball has created a real cultural and historical tradition and is now held in various countries and cities, including Moscow,” the company’s press service told the TRN portal.
It was also noted that in 2019 the event is dedicated to the Year of Theatre declared in Russia and will be held on May 25 at one of the largest venues in the capital - Gostiny Dvor, an architectural monument of the 18th century. The "Viennese Ball" has become an important tradition and is held in accordance with certain criteria. Preparations begin six months in advance, and debutants opening the reception undergo a competitive selection and special training.
The dance and concert program will be accompanied by the Moscow Symphony Orchestra "Russian Philharmonic" and one of the best dance orchestras in Russia "Dance-land" named after Semyon Milstein, the chief dance master - the president of the Russian Dance Union Stanislav Popov. The gala concert will also feature stars of world opera.
