The Ministry of Transport has recommended that tour operators organizing tourist trips to China not sell tickets for flights for which all necessary permits have not been obtained from the Chinese authorities. press service Association "Tourpomoshch", reports Turprom.

"We would like to inform you of a warning received from the Federal Air Transport Agency that, due to problems Russian air carriers are experiencing with obtaining slots at airports in the People's Republic of China, as well as the lengthy accreditation process for commencing flights to China, in order to avoid disruptions, cancellations, or postponements of flight commencement dates, and to prevent violations of passenger rights, Rosaviatsia requests that you cease the practice of selling tickets for scheduled and charter flights without carriers with whom you have contractual relations having all the necessary permits from the aviation authorities of the People's Republic of China and confirmation of slots at destination airports," the Turpomoshch statement reads.
As a reminder, in early June of last year, more than 200 Russian tourists were stranded at the airport in the Chinese resort of Hainan due to the sudden suspension of UTair's charter flight program.
At the time, the airline announced that, as of June 3, it had been unable to provide transportation for Russian tourists on the Moscow-Haikou-Moscow route for reasons beyond its control. "The Civil Aviation Administration of China's refusal to grant UTair permission to operate charter flights was due to flight delays. If 25 percent of an airline's flights are delayed, this results in a denial of permission to operate, which is what happened to UTair," explained Irina Tyurina. However, on June 4, it was announced that the carrier's permission to operate charter flights to Hainan had been renewed.
