The Crimean authorities have decided to create a special police unit in the coming summer season, whose employees will provide assistance and support to tourists arriving in Yalta in difficult situations.
According to Interfax, the authorities believe that this will ensure a comfortable and safe stay for foreign tourists in the region. The unit will employ about 30 employees with knowledge of foreign languages — more and more guests from foreign countries are arriving in Yalta.
The 2018 resort season was the most successful for Crimea in recent decades: the peninsula received a record number of tourists - 6.8 million people (26% more than the year before). At the same time, tourists from more than 130 countries of the near and far abroad visited the region.
