A Ferris wheel opened in the center of Yaroslavl on City Day. It is the largest in the cities of Russia's Golden Ring—it stands 65 meters tall, located on the banks of the Kotorosl River.
The Yaroslavl Ferris Wheel is equipped with 27 cabins, TASS reports. Each cabin represents a specific city in the Golden Ring and highlights its landmarks. The wheel features a cabin called "Seagull," dedicated to the space flight of Yaroslavl region native Valentina Tereshkova. The attraction is also accessible to people with disabilities, as special equipment is available.
The attraction is located outside the UNESCO World Heritage site and its buffer zone. Near the Ferris wheel is a park and street food area.
