Moscow metro to host tours

The “Metro Guide” project has been launched in Moscow, within the framework of which accredited guides will conduct tours of stations for everyone who wants to. Tour guides will tell tourists about the history of the capital's underground and its stations, about interesting finishing elements and unusual facts, about the organization of the metro's work and much more.

Previously, Moscow guides have repeatedly approached the metro management with questions about whether it is possible to conduct a tour and what needs to be done to conduct tours of the stations without hindrance. Requests have also come from passengers, the official portal of the Moscow mayor's office reports.

For the "Metro Guide" project, guides will be examined by metro specialists. Before this, guides can take a three-day course at the metro training center. Then information about accredited guides and excursions will appear on the metro website. It is assumed that each excursion group will have no more than 20 people. Excursions will be held at times when there are the fewest passengers at stations, so as not to interfere with the flow of people.

Currently, 20 specialists have already received a one-year work permit in the metro.
