The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg has completed its investigation into the criminal case against the former general director of Solvex-Tourne LLC.

As reported by the department’s press service, the former head of the company is accused of committing crimes under the article of fraud.
According to the investigation, the woman, knowingly aware of the impossibility of fulfilling the obligations of Solvex-Tourne LLC under contracts concluded with citizens for the provision of tourist services and having no intention of fulfilling these obligations, for the purpose of personal enrichment, entered into contracts for the provision of tourist services from October 2013 to September 2014.
"As a result of the defendant's criminal actions, funds totaling over 157 million rubles were stolen from 2,771 victims. The criminal case file comprises 336 volumes. The investigation has gathered sufficient evidence, and the case has been sent to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment," the Investigative Committee of Russia clarified.
As a reminder, the St. Petersburg company announced it was ceasing operations in September 2014. A little later, in October, the tour operator's general director, Tamara Khaletskaya, was arrested.
