Vietnam Airlines has increased its baggage allowance for tickets departing from Russia. The increase applies to both checked and carry-on baggage, reports Travel.ru.
In economy class, the checked baggage allowance is 46 kilograms instead of the previous 30, and in business class, 64 instead of 40. The carry-on baggage allowance has been increased from 7 to 10 kilograms in economy class and from 14 to 15 in business class.
This decision was likely motivated by a desire to comply with the increased baggage allowance previously introduced by Aeroflot on its Vietnam flights. Vietnam Airlines' new allowance applies to tickets purchased from May 1st onward. It also applies to flights from Vietnam to Moscow.
