Moscow's Vnukovo Airport now offers express testing for coronavirus infection. The test results are available in 60 minutes, and the total cost for a passenger is 2,750 rubles, Travel.ru's own correspondent reports.
Testing is available at the airport's medical center, which can be accessed by exiting the terminal at ground level, turning left and walking to a separate entrance to the medical center. A similar service was launched at Sheremetyevo in July and immediately proved to be very popular. Passengers reported high demand and even 1-2 hour queues of people wanting to take the test. In the first 17 days of the service's operation, 2,715 people used it.
A certificate of test results can be obtained in Russian and English. It is likely that with the opening of a number of international routes in August, the demand for express tests will further increase significantly. As is known, all Russian citizens entering the country are currently required to take a test within three days of arrival. The airport express testing point is very convenient for this purpose.
The service may also be useful for departing passengers on international flights. Currently, entry into a number of countries requires, among other things, a certificate of a negative coronavirus test taken no earlier than three days before arrival.
The service is quite convenient for those who have a transfer at Vnukovo and have a few extra hours to take the test. It should be borne in mind that if the test result is positive, the data will be sent to Rospotrebnadzor and it may become impossible to continue the trip.
Passengers and tourists planning to travel anywhere in the coming months should carefully consider the necessity and possibility of travel. In some countries and individual regions of Russia, quarantines may be in effect for tourists entering these countries, making travel a sham. Before any trip, you should double-check the rules in effect at your destination - they can change at any time without any prior notice. In addition to quarantines, rules in various countries and regions may now include requirements for wearing masks, having local passes, negative coronavirus tests, etc. Finally, the risk of contracting the virus increases significantly during travel.
Let us recall that currently all Russian citizens entering the country are required to take a test and receive the results within three days of arrival (and before flying to Russia, they must also register their return on the State Services website).
