The proposal to provide travel benefits to young tourists has been supported in the upper house of parliament. This was announced by the deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy. politician Igor Fomin.

"The Federation Council Committee on Social Policy supports any development of social tourism that is carried out with direct government support. And youth tourism should be considered social tourism," he said.
He also noted that youth tourism could benefit from programs for developing children's tourism in the Russian Federation, as much has been done recently for cultural and educational children's tourism.
"Promoting youth tourism in Russia, introducing discounted travel to vacation spots for young people on all modes of transport, and the option of budgetary support for organized youth tourism, similar to what is done for children's tourism, where federal and regional budgets cover part of the costs," Igor Fomin stated, according to the Moscow City News Agency.
Incidentally, like Natalia Kuvshinova, who proposed and developed this bill, Igor Fomin believes that the development of youth tourism in Russia should become a popular trend and be considered social tourism.
"Of course, the implementation of such a project is a matter of budget planning, but this area is extremely important for the state. In our country, the development of social tourism is a priority. And youth tourism, as I noted earlier, should be considered social tourism," the senator said.
As a reminder, State Duma Deputy Natalya Kuvshinova previously drafted a bill to provide travel benefits for young tourists across the country. Young tourists aged 14 to 30 will be able to travel both in organized groups and independently. The corresponding document was submitted to the United Russia expert council for review.
