The Russian government has approved a bill increasing the state fee for issuing new-generation international passports, Gazeta.ru reports.
As it has become known, the duty will increase from 3,500 rubles to 5,000 rubles. The government emphasized that this fee is proportionate. costs of issuing a foreign passport containing an electronic data carrier.
It was previously reported that State Duma deputies adopted, in their third and final reading, a law reducing the time it takes to issue international passports when applications are submitted at the place of residence.
In accordance with amendments to Part 7 of Article 10 of the Federal Law "On the Procedure for Leaving the Russian Federation and Entering the Russian Federation," the period for issuing documents will be reduced from four to three months.
