The day before, at a working group meeting at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moscow, Anzor Erkenov, head of the Ministry of Tourism of Karachay-Cherkessia, presented three projects that are potential participants in the federal target program "Development of Domestic and Inbound Tourism in the Russian Federation for 2019-2025": the creation of the "Kavminvody" Eco-Resort tourism and recreation cluster, the "Construction of the all-season resort complex "Pkhiya-Kislye Springs," and the development of the "Green Island" sports and health cluster.
All three projects are planned for implementation in Karachay-Cherkessia. The total planned investment, according to preliminary estimates, is 16.4 billion rubles.
The Ministry of Tourism of Dagestan has submitted a proposal to include two tourism and recreation clusters – "Silk Road" and "Mountain Health Resort" – in the Federal Targeted Program, RIA Dagestan reports.
The Silk Road cluster includes the Sardar and Sulak Fishtravel tourism and recreational complexes, and the Kaspiy tourism and health complex. The project's goal is to enhance the republic's tourism potential in both domestic and international markets.
The "Mountain Health Resort" tourism and recreation cluster includes the "Ekoland" agritourism complex, the "Tsamauri" tourism and recreation complex, and the "Almak" tourism and health complex. The primary consumers of this product are intended to be not only Russian citizens but also foreigners. The main focus and goals are the development of ethnocultural, health, agroecological, extreme, and educational tourism.
