One of the largest travel websites is celebrating its birthday today. We're in our twenties, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our readers, partners, and colleagues!
TURIZM.RU was launched in 1998. In those troubled times, for those who remember, at the end of the 20th century, there was almost no Tourism websites. We were among the first to offer travel ideas, compiled a small database of travel agencies, and opened a forum where tourists shared their experiences. The first travel news appeared only in 2000, and the first articles in 2004.
Today, TURIZM.RU boasts over 800,000 thematic pages, 252 countries, 1.5 million registered users, 4,000 travel agencies, and approximately 45,000 reviews. The site receives over 50,000 visitors daily.
On Friday, December 7, tourism representatives, insurance companies, and major tour operators, including Mouzenidis Travel, Pantheon, KMP Group, and others, will come to the editorial office to offer their congratulations.
According to the site's director, Alexander Ivanov, 20 years is a truly long time to try a wide variety of things and choose the right path and identify the areas of development that yield real results.
